This rare World War Two era prefab home has been lovingly transformed into a warm and character filled off grid haven. Once built as temporary housing in the aftermath of the war, it now stands as a peaceful cottage surrounded by abundant gardens, a beautiful limecrete greenhouse and an impressive pantry filled with homemade preserves. John and his wife have breathed new life into this historic structure, creating a self sufficient micro homestead that honours the past while embracing a simple and abundant way of living.

There is a timeless quality to this beautiful tiny home. It exists in the present and yet somehow reaches into the past, like a beautiful reminder of a simpler time. Here, a handcrafted tiny house truck is parked right beside a calmly flowing river, with cooking over a fire and days spent immersed in traditional crafts. It doesn’t get much better than this, and that is exactly the life that Joseph and Sian have created for themselves.
