I’m wondering if anyone has any experience or knowledge about extending the length of a trailer by about two feet. I’d like to get a used trailer, but I’m having trouble finding a used 20′ trailer. 18′ trailers seem easier to come by, so I’m wondering if adding a two foot extension on the back (or on the front and back) is something people have done, or know is a good or bad idea. I know there is some issue with weight balance on the axles and tounge, if someone can elaborate more on that too, it could be helpful. It seems to me like it is more of an approximation, so I don’t think a 2′ extension would make a huge difference, but I’m no expert. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
