Brett Sutherland’s incredible off-the-grid modern Tiny House was one of my very first house tours. At the time, it was a truly unique design that totally broke the mould. Two years later, I’m now visiting Brett again to see how he is finding life in his Tiny Home.

Living in the Lotus really has been a wonderful experience. Over the summer, this place really has been a spectacular home and get-away for me and life there has at times been nothing short of enchanting. Situated amongst the hills of Palmerston North in New Zealand, The Skysphere is the brain child of Jono Williams, whose passion for mechanical engineering an design lead him to constructing the steal structure. When Jono began working on the project he didn’t even know how to weld, but along the way he learned all the skills needed to build it. Overall, he estimates that over 3000 hours were spent on it’s construction. Read more
